Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has undertaken a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, under which it has transferred three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. Accordingly, IAS Bhoobalan T (2015 batch) has been appointed Director of the Electronic Delivery of Citizen Services (EDCS) in the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) (e-Governance).
Bhoobalan currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for E-Governance, Bengaluru.
The other two appointments include
- IAS Aparna Ramesh (2021 batch), formerly Director, EDCS, has now been made the Additional Commissioner for Commercial Taxes (Service Analysis Wing), Bengaluru.
- IAS Kanishk Sharma (2021 batch), who previously served as Additional Commissioner for Commercial Taxes in the Service Analysis Wing, has been appointed as the new Additional Commissioner for Commercial Taxes (Enforcement) in Bengaluru. He takes over from Sri Chandrashekhar Nayaka, who has been relieved following his deputation to the Centre. In her new role, Kanishk will be responsible for overseeing enforcement operations related to commercial taxes—a key position focused on safeguarding state revenue and ensuring regulatory compliance.
