Pune: Career247, the skilling arm of Adda Education, has launched its first School of Banking in Pune, a move aimed at creating job-ready talent for India’s banking sector.Â
The centre has been launched in partnership with Axis Bank, marking the start of multiple upcoming collaborations in the banking and financial services industry.
Flagship Programs
As part of this launch, Career247 has rolled out two flagship job-linked programs in association with Axis Bank—Priority Banking Relationship Management (PBRM) and Axis Sales Academy (ASA). These programs are designed to train aspirants in specialized roles and enable them to transition smoothly into employment-ready positions.
Career247 officials confirmed that the Pune launch is only the first step, with similar centres and programs expected to roll out in other cities in partnership with leading Indian banks and financial services institutions.
Bridging the Skill Gap in BFSI
The Career247 School of Banking has been established to address the growing skills gap in the banking and financial services industry. Through outcome-focused training and intensive, real-world bootcamps, students are equipped with the knowledge and hands-on expertise required to take on jobs from day one.
Bimaljeet Singh Bhasin, CEO – Skilling & Higher Education at Adda Education, stated that the Pune centre represents a milestone in Career247’s mission to secure meaningful careers for job aspirants. He highlighted that Career247 has already impacted over 2 million learners across India and invested more than Rs 30 crore in workforce development.
Dr. Thammaiah C. S., Chief Business Officer, BFSI, Career247, added that the School of Banking continues Adda Education’s mission to provide youth across Tier 2, 3, and 4 cities with the employability skills needed for the private sector. The programs, he explained, are tailored to the specific job skills banks require, ensuring participants are deployable from the first day of employment.
