Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has invited citizens to share ideas for shaping the “Developed India–Developed Uttar Pradesh Vision 2047” document, describing the state’s economy as “undergoing a major transformation.”
Addressing a Prabuddh Sammelan organised under the ongoing Sewa Pakhwada campaign, CM Adityanath announced that the three best suggestions from each district and the top five from across the state will be recognised.
He highlighted a recent survey indicating that only 10 per cent of the state’s workforce is employed outside Uttar Pradesh, while 90 per cent now find jobs within their districts or elsewhere in the state.
Adityanath credited government programmes such as the One District, One Product (ODOP) scheme for creating about two crore jobs in the MSME sector, along with 60 lakh positions in other industries and 8.5 lakh in government services. He noted India’s rise from the world’s 11th to fourth-largest economy since 2014 and projected it could reach third place by the end of the current fiscal year.
CM Adityanath pointed to improvements in infrastructure, health, and education, citing the increase in operational airports from 74 to 160 and the near elimination of encephalitis in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
He also underlined the impact of simplified Goods and Services Tax slabs of 5 and 18 per cent in spurring growth and consumer demand. Calling for “collective resolve,” Adityanath referred to landmark developments such as the construction of the Ram temple and the abrogation of Article 370 as examples of decisive governance.
He urged people to contribute ideas that would fulfil “the resolutions of our ancestors, the dreams of the present and the aspirations of future generations,” making the vision of a developed India a shared goal.
