Patna: In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Bihar government has transferred six Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and five Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. Accordingly, IAS Anil Choudhary (2011 batch) has been appointed Special Secretary in the Home Department.
Choudhary previously served as the Commissioner of the Madhubani Municipal Corporation.
The list of other IAS transfers includes
- IAS Upendra Prasad (2013 batch), currently the Settlement Officer of Jehanabad, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary in the General Administration Department (GAD).
- IAS Sanjay Kumar (2014 batch), presently the Additional Secretary in GAD, has been given additional charge as General Manager of the Bihar Development Mission.
- IAS Abhilasha Sharma (2017 batch), currently serving as the Joint Secretary in the Urban Development and Housing Department, has been appointed as the District Magistrate (DM) of Arwal.
- IAS Kumar Gaurav (2017 batch), currently posted as the District Magistrate (DM) of Arwal, has been transferred and posted as Additional Executive Director of the State Health Society.
- IAS Sparsh Gupta (2019 batch), currently the Deputy Development Commissioner of Kishanganj, has now been appointed Managing Director of the Bihar State Seed Corporation.
The list of IPS transfers includes
- IPS Pushkar Anand (2009 batch), currently SP of Special Branch, has been appointed Commandant, Bihar Special Armed Police-9, Jamalpur.
- IPS Aditya Kumar (2011 batch), who was under suspension and awaiting posting, has been posted as SP in the Prohibition and Excise Department.
- IPS Inamul Haq Mengnoo (2012 batch), currently SP of Arwal, has been made Rail SP, Patna.
- IPS Manish Kumar (2017 batch), presently the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment), has become the new SP of Arwal.
- IPS Amratendu Shekhar Thakur (2017 batch), presently Rail SP, Patna, has been shifted to SP, Central Selection Board (Constable Recruitment).
