Shimla: In a major reshuffle, the Himachal Pradesh government has ordered the transfer of 15 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers across various key positions in the state police department. Accordingly, IPS Abhishek Trivedi has been transferred from the role of ADGP (Law and Order) to ADGP (Prisons and Correctional Services), Shimla
Other key transfers are as follows:
- IPS Prem Kumar Thakur, currently IGP Armed Police and Training, Shimla, transferred and posted as IGP, Police Academy, Training and Research, Shimla.
- IPS Bimal Gupta, currently IGP SV and ACB, has taken additional charge as Principal, Police Training College (PTC).
- IPS Soumya Sambasivan, DIG (Northern Range) has taken additional charge as Principal, PTC.
- IPS Dr. D.K. Chaudhary has been appointed DIG Cyber Crime, Dharamshala.
- IPS Anupam Sharma has been appointed DIG Cyber Crime, Shimla.
- IPS Ranjana Chauhan has assumed charge as DIG Leave Reserve, Human Rights Commission.
- IPS Karthikeyan Gokulachandran has taken charge as SP, Compulsory Waiting Officer.
- IPS Abhishek Yadav has been made AIG, Police Headquarters.
- IPS Abhishek S has been appointed SP Law and Order, Shimla.
- IPS Atithi Singh has been made SP Vigilance, Dharamshala.
- IPS Gauravjeet Singh has taken charge as SDPO Nahan.
- IPS Mehar Panwar has been posted as ASP Shimla.
- IPS Ashok Rattan, currently SP Nurpur (additional charge SP Kangra) has now been made permanent SP of Kangra.
The move aims to strengthen administrative efficiency and streamline operations across divisions.
