Kolkata: The West Bengal government has transferred 14 SPs and 26 additional SPs across the state. As per the official notification, IPS Arijit Sinha, currently the SP of Jhargram, has been promoted as DIG of Midnapore Range.
Other key transfers include
Bankura SP IPS Vaibhav Tiwari will serve as the SP of Purulia.
Purulia SP IPS Avijit Banerjee has been appointed as SP of Malda.
Alipurduar SP IPS Y. Raghuvanshi has been appointed as Jalpaiguri SP.
IPS K Umesh Gyanpat moves the other way as SP from Jalpaiguri to Alipurduar.
West Midnapore SP IPS Dhritiman Sarkar has been appointed as SS (IB).
East Midnapore SP IPS Soumyadip Bhattacharya has been appointed SP of Bankura.
New Town DC IPS Manav Singla, under the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate, has been appointed as Jhargram SP.
Baruipur Police District SP IPS Palash Chandra Dhali has been appointed SP of West Midnapore.
SP (rural) of East Medinipur, IPS Shubhendra Kumar, had been promoted as the SP of Baruipur Police District.
Raiganj Police District SP IPS Mohammad Sans Akhtar has been appointed as DC of the Asansol-Durgapur Police Commissionerate.
SS (IB) Sonawane IPS Kuldip Suresh will take charge as SP of Raiganj Police District.
