Patna: The Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (BIPARD) has signed an agreement with the Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) to start an employment-linked skill development initiative at the new BIPARD Skill Park in Patna.
Under this partnership, IRFC will provide a CSR grant of Rs 10 crore. The fund will support advanced training programs that offer global certifications. The focus areas include SAP ERP, CCNA networking, foreign language training, and other industry-ready skills.
The program aims to train 1,275 young people from Bihar. Special attention will be given to candidates from underprivileged backgrounds. The goal is to help participants secure strong job opportunities both in India and abroad.
High-quality facilities
The BIPARD Skill Park is designed to support advanced learning. It includes:
Technology-enabled classrooms
Modern labs
Licensed SAP infrastructure
Foreign language learning modules
Students will also receive residential facilities, including accommodation, meals, and uniforms, at no cost. This setup ensures they can focus fully on their training without financial stress.
Vision for the future
Officials from both BIPARD and IRFC said the collaboration will help reduce the skill gap in Bihar and push more youth into employment. The project aligns with the state’s long-term vision of becoming a major hub of skilled professionals by 2047.
By combining high-level training with placement support, the initiative hopes to create a lasting impact on Bihar’s workforce and contribute to stronger economic growth in the region.
