New Delhi: Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia congratulated the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DoT) for winning the IEEE SA Corporate Award 2025, calling it a landmark moment for India’s global technology leadership.
In a post on social media, Scindia said C-DoT has become the first organisation from India to receive the prestigious award from the 140-year-old Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and only the fifth organisation globally to be honoured with the recognition.
According to the Minister, the award acknowledges C-DoT’s pioneering contributions to advancing IEEE standards in wireless broadband, rural 5G and telecom education, as well as its role in building globally recognised, standards-based innovation frameworks from India.
Scindia also congratulated Sandeep Agarwal, Scientist at C-DoT, who received the IEEE Standards Medallion for his outstanding service in advancing rural broadband standards. The Minister described the work as part of a collective mission that aligns closely with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The recognition underscores C-DoT’s growing role in shaping global telecom standards while strengthening India’s position in standards-led technology development.
