The partnership will focus on knowledge exchange, joint curriculum development and collaborative research to support India’s growing logistics ecosystem.
A key feature of the agreement is the establishment of an Amazon Chair Professorship at the university, which will drive advanced research in warehousing using data-driven decision-making models. The initiative is expected to support innovation in supply chain management and enhance efficiency across the logistics network.
GSV Vice Chancellor Prof Manoj Choudhary said the university, being India’s only institution dedicated to transportation and logistics, is focused on developing sector-specific talent and research.
He noted that insights from Amazon India would help strengthen planning, design and innovation through co-working projects.
Established in 2022 as a Central University under the Ministry of Railways, GSV spans all major modes of transport- railways, highways, ports, aviation, maritime, inland waterways and urban transport- along with the supply chain and logistics systems.
