The West Bengal Higher Education Department has appointed Souren Bandyopadhyay as the new College Service Commission Chairperson, with key administrative reshuffles across major institutions.

The West Bengal Higher Education Department has appointed Souren Bandyopadhyay as the new College Service Commission Chairperson, with key administrative reshuffles across major institutions.

Kolkata: The West Bengal Higher Education Department has appointed Souren Bandyopadhyay as the new Chairperson of the College Service Commission.

He will replace Dipak Kumar Kar, who has been appointed as the VC of Vidyasagar University.

Subhranil Some, the principal of Bhairab Ganguly College, has been appointed as the Controller of the College Service Commission.

Some replaces Selim Box Mandal, who has taken charge as Registrar of Jadavpur University.

Mandal took charge as Controller a few months back only but was replaced as dual charge was not feasible.
