New Delhi: The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) under NITI Aayog has partnered with Hitachi MGRM Net Ltd. (HMN) to develop MStar Global AI Connect, a national-scale digital innovation platform aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and technological advancement across India.
The Statement of Intent (SoI) was signed on 1 December by AIM Mission Director Dr Deepak Bagla and Hitachi India Executive Chairman Dr Bharat Kaushal.
The collaboration seeks to build a federated digital backbone that links schools across rural, suburban and urban regions with mentors, incubators, accelerators, research institutions and industry partners.
The initiative aligns with the government’s vision of a Viksit Bharat, with a focus on creating a structured school-to-startup pipeline and enabling Indian innovations to reach global markets.
Dr Bagla said the partnership would help harness the innovative capabilities of every child and create a scalable, inclusive ecosystem of startups and job creators. Dr Kaushal emphasised that the platform would instil a problem-solving mindset among students while offering multilingual, accessible digital infrastructure.
Key objectives include nationwide enrolment with low-friction onboarding, virtual ATLs and AICs, end-to-end innovation lifecycle management, talent identification, IP support and market linkages. The initiative will also provide policy-grade analytics to aid governance.
Both AIM and HMN affirmed their commitment to democratising innovation and developing future-ready talent through this unified digital platform.
