Kolkata: Aadhaar services will be expanded in West Bengal in a phased manner.
Earlier, eight UIDAI Aadhaar Seva Kendras with 72 Aadhaar enrolment kits (AEKs) were operational in eight districts of the state.
These are now being increased to 22 in 21 districts in a phased manner. The services will be delivered through 181 AEKs.
The expansion will enhance accessibility and further strengthen the Aadhaar-related service delivery mechanism.
This will ensure residents receive Aadhaar servicrd closer to their place of residence.
Directly operated by UIDAI and managed by Protean eGov Technologies, the Aadhaar Seva Kendras provide comprehensive enrolment and update services.
