Mohali: Punjab witnessed strong investor interest as the state received investment proposals worth over ₹10,000 crore on the first day of the Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit 2026.
The summit, taking place in Mohali, has brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and investors from across the country and abroad to discuss new business opportunities and partnerships in the state.

According to officials, the initial investment commitments span several sectors, including manufacturing, chemicals, textiles, renewable energy, and other emerging industries. The announcements indicate growing confidence among companies looking to expand operations in Punjab.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said the state government is focused on creating a supportive ecosystem for industry by improving infrastructure, simplifying procedures, and encouraging new enterprises. He added that such initiatives are aimed at boosting economic growth while generating employment opportunities for the youth.
