Kolkata: The West Bengal government will constitute new Cultural and Development Boards for five communities: the Munda (ST), Kora (ST), Dom (SC), Kumbhakar (OBC) and Sadgope (OBC) communities.
According to West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, these boards will safeguard the customary rights and ensure the socio-economic growth of these communities.
The boards will protect their unique languages and traditions while ensuring better education, healthcare, and jobs.
According to the CM, these communities are integral to the vibrant fabric of West Bengal.
Since 2013, the West Bengal government has established many such boards for the weaker communities, ensuring their all-around development.
