Kolkata: The West Bengal government has constituted the West Bengal Traders’ Welfare Board (WBTWB).
This would provide an institutional platform for regular dialogue and coordination between the trading community and the state government.
The President of the Confederation of West Bengal Traders Association (CWBTA), the state’s apex body of traders, will be the chairperson of the board.
The board will include representation from every district of the state.
The constitution of this board was committed by the CM Mamata Banerjee at the State Traders’ Convention and the Business & Industry Conclave in December 2025.
