New Delhi, May 5 (APAC Media): In a significant move to bolster India’s digital security framework, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU).
The collaboration aims to enhance capabilities in digital forensics, cybersecurity, and advanced technology research, reinforcing the resilience of India’s digital identity ecosystem.
The MoU was exchanged between Vivek Chandra Verma and S. O. Junare, in the presence of senior officials, including Abhishek Kumar Singh.
This partnership establishes a structured framework to strengthen cyber resilience across UIDAI’s infrastructure, which underpins Aadhaar and other digital public services.
Key focus areas of the collaboration include:
- Academic and professional development programs
- Strengthening information security and system integrity
- Enhancing forensic infrastructure and laboratory capabilities
- Technical support for cybersecurity operations
- Joint research in emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, deepfake detection, and cryptography
- Strategic placement and outreach opportunities for NFSU students
The initiative brings together institutional expertise from both organizations to address evolving cyber threats and build robust forensic systems.
Speaking on the occasion, Verma said the collaboration represents a major step toward strengthening the security and resilience of India’s digital public infrastructure. He emphasised that the partnership will enhance safeguards for the country’s digital identity systems while advancing research and innovation in critical technology areas.
