New Delhi, June 18(CXO Media): Dhruva Space and ICEYE have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore opportunities in satellite manufacturing, earth observation services, disaster management applications and ground station infrastructure.
The agreement was announced during Bharat Innovates 2026 in Nice, France, where Indian startups and global technology companies discussed collaboration opportunities across strategic sectors.
Focus On Satellite Manufacturing
Under the proposed collaboration, Hyderabad-based Dhruva Space and Finland-headquartered ICEYE will assess opportunities to jointly develop satellite buses and other space systems for domestic and international missions. The companies will also evaluate the use of Dhruva Space’s upcoming 280,000-square-foot Assembly, Integration and Testing (AIT) facility for manufacturing space hardware and components.
Earth Observation And Data Services
The companies will also explore making ICEYE’s synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite data available through Dhruva Space’s AstraView platform. SAR satellites can capture images in all weather conditions and during both day and night, making them useful for disaster response, agriculture, maritime surveillance and environmental monitoring.
In addition, the firms will examine opportunities to use Dhruva Space’s ground station network to improve satellite data delivery and develop ground station services for customers operating in India.
ICEYE operates one of the world’s largest SAR satellite constellations, while Dhruva Space provides spacecraft engineering, launch integration and ground infrastructure services. The proposed partnership reflects growing cooperation between Indian and international space companies as demand rises for satellite manufacturing and earth observation capabilities.
