Noida, June 5 (APAC Media): Gold prices in India fell on Friday, tracking subdued global trends and cautious investor sentiment ahead of key macroeconomic developments.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures were lower in early trade, slipping nearly 1 per cent to around ₹1,58,300 per 10 grams.
Silver also witnessed a sharper decline of about 1.5 per cent, reflecting broad-based weakness in the bullion segment.
Analysts attributed the fall in precious metals to easing safe-haven demand as global risk appetite improved on the back of encouraging international diplomatic signals and stable financial market conditions.
A stronger US dollar in overseas markets also weighed on bullion prices.

Despite the short-term weakness, gold continues to draw support from its traditional role as a safe-haven asset, particularly during periods of economic uncertainty.
Seasonal demand patterns and festival-related buying in India are also expected to influence price movements in the coming weeks.
Traders and analysts are closely monitoring upcoming central bank commentary and US economic data releases, which are likely to provide further direction to precious metal markets.
Overall, bullion markets remained under pressure on June 5, with prices easing across domestic and international exchanges while maintaining an elevated long-term trend.
