New Delhi, June 19(CXO Media): IndiaMART has expanded the use of artificial intelligence across its marketplace operations, with an AI-driven system now handling nearly one lakh buyer-seller conversations every day.
The B2B marketplace said the platform, developed with SquadStack.ai, automates customer interactions from initial contact to lead qualification before transferring prospects for further action when required. The deployment highlights how Indian digital platforms are increasingly using agentic AI systems to manage customer-facing processes that were traditionally handled by human teams.
According to the company, the system achieved a 20% higher conversion rate than manual calling processes while reducing the cost per confirmed lead by around 15%. IndiaMART also reported higher connectivity rates through AI-led interactions compared with conventional outreach methods.
The platform supports multiple Indian languages, accents and product categories, allowing it to manage conversations involving changing buyer requirements and incomplete purchase details. The company said the AI system moved from pilot testing to full-scale deployment within three months.
The rollout reflects a broader shift toward agentic AI in India’s digital economy, where businesses are moving beyond AI-assisted tools and deploying systems capable of independently handling customer engagement and operational workflows.
IndiaMART had previously integrated AI-based lead scoring, behavioural matchmaking and recommendation engines into its marketplace. The latest deployment marks a deeper push toward automating buyer-seller interactions at scale as companies look to improve efficiency and reduce customer acquisition costs.
