Patna, July 17 (APAC Media): The Bihar Government has carried out a bureaucratic reshuffle, reassigning senior IAS officers across key departments. IAS Abhay Kumar Singh has been appointed Secretary, Rural Works Department, while continuing to hold the additional charge of the Information Technology Department until further orders.
Singh is a 2004 batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre.
Other Officers Include:
- IAS Divesh Sehra (2005 batch), who was serving as Secretary, Rural Works Department, has been appointed Secretary, Food and Consumer Protection Department. He has also been given the additional charge of Inquiry Commissioner in the General Administration Department until further orders.
- IAS Deepak Anand (2007 batch), who was serving as Secretary, Food and Consumer Protection Department, has been transferred and appointed Secretary, Sports Department.
- IAS Rajiv Raushan (2010 batch), who is serving as Secretary, Higher Education Department, has been given the additional charge of the Education and Sports Departments. He will continue to hold his existing charge as Secretary (Resources), Finance Department.
- IAS Rachna Patil (2010 batch), who is serving as Secretary (Expenditure), Finance Department, has been given the additional charge of the Agriculture Department until further orders.
- IAS Shweta Bharti (2022 batch)has been appointed as Deputy Development Commissioner-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Zila Parishad, Sitamarhi.
- IAS Dharmendra Kumar (2013 batch) has been given the additional charge of Special Secretary, Education Department.
- IAS Manesh Kumar (2013 batch), who is serving as Director, Mines Department, has been given the additional charge of Bihar State Educational Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (BSEIDC).
