New Delhi, July 16(APAC Media): Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 series has surfaced in a fresh leak just days before its expected debut at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, revealing key hardware details of both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Series Specifications
According to the latest leaked specifications, Samsung is expected to introduce two book-style foldable smartphones this year. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is tipped to feature a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a 5.5-inch cover screen. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, meanwhile, could arrive with a larger 8-inch foldable display and a 6.5-inch outer screen, while retaining the design approach of its predecessor.
Both smartphones are expected to run on Qualcomm’s custom Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Connectivity options are likely to include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 and USB Type-C.
Camera And Battery Details
The standard Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to feature a 50MP primary camera and a 50MP ultrawide sensor. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra could offer a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 10MP telephoto sensor. Both devices are also expected to include dual 10MP selfie cameras.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 may house a 4,800mAh battery, while the Ultra variant is tipped to pack a larger 5,000mAh battery. Both models are expected to support 45W wired fast charging.
Samsung has already confirmed that its upcoming foldable lineup will use its Flex Titanium display technology. Alongside the new foldables, the company is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Watch 9, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 and Galaxy Glasses during the London event on July 22. The latest leak provides one of the clearest looks yet at what Samsung is likely to announce, although the final specifications will only be confirmed at launch.
