New Delhi, August 26 (APAC Media):Â The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and Takamol for Business Services have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in vocational training, skill assessment and workforce development.
The agreement builds on their existing partnership under the Skill Verification Programme (SVP) and aims to improve training quality, assessment standards and employment pathways for skilled Indian professionals.
SVP Has Assessed Nearly 3 Lakh Candidates
The Skill Verification Programme was launched as a pilot in 2023 to help skilled Indian workers access employment opportunities in Saudi Arabia through a structured skill verification system.
Since its launch, the programme has assessed nearly 3 lakh candidates across 83 occupations, supporting a more transparent and trusted process for verifying professional skills.
Focus on Workforce Readiness
The new MoU will create opportunities for both organisations to further strengthen training and assessment frameworks.
The partnership is expected to support better workforce readiness and facilitate smoother international mobility for Indian professionals seeking opportunities in global markets.
Expanding Opportunities for Indian Workers
Skill verification systems are becoming increasingly important as more Indian professionals seek employment overseas.
The SVP framework is also expected to expand to other markets, with upcoming engagements, including with Oman, aimed at creating additional pathways for Indian workers through transparent and structured assessment mechanisms.
The partnership reflects the broader effort to build a future-ready Indian workforce equipped for global employment opportunities.
