New Delhi, September 18 (APAC Media): The Ministry of Defence has appointed IAS officer Meera Mohanty as Government Nominee Director on the Board of Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) with effect from September 17, 2026.
MIDHANI informed the stock exchanges about the appointment through a disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
Meera Mohanty Takes Charge at MIDHANI
Meera Mohanty has joined the MIDHANI Board as Government Nominee Director from September 17. Her appointment will remain effective until further orders from the Administrative Ministry.
With her induction, the Ministry of Defence has made a change in its government representation on the defence PSU’s Board.
Mohanty’s appointment follows the conclusion of Prakash Rajpurohit’s tenure as Government Nominee Director on the MIDHANI Board.
Who Is IAS Meera Mohanty?
Meera Mohanty is a 2005-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre.
She is currently serving as Joint Secretary (Personnel & Coordination) in the Ministry of Defence, Department of Defence Production.
During her career, Mohanty has also served as Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
She is also a Government Nominee Director on the Board of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL).
