Bengaluru, September 18 (APAC Media):Â Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) has appointed Prakash Rajpurohit, Joint Secretary (DIP), Ministry of Defence, as a Part-Time Official Director (Government Director) on its Board.
The appointment was approved by the Ministry of Defence, Department of Defence Production, and took effect on September 17, 2026. Rajpurohit will continue in the position until further orders.
He replaces Meera Mohanty, Joint Secretary (P&C), on the BDL Board.
Prakash Rajpurohit Joins BDL Board
The Department of Defence Production communicated the appointment through an Office Memorandum dated September 17, 2026.
Under the order, Rajpurohit will serve as a Part-Time Official Director on the Board of Bharat Dynamics Limited. His appointment is part of the government’s board-level representation in the defence public sector undertaking.
Who Is Prakash Rajpurohit?
Prakash Rajpurohit is a 2010-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Rajasthan cadre.
He holds a B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi and is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Defence’s Department of Defence Production.
With his appointment, Rajpurohit will now join the BDL Board as the government’s official representative in a part-time director role.
