New Delhi: Innovation, Inclusion and Impact to define the innovation paradigm in the BFSI sector in years to come. This has been the underlying opinion expressed by the BFSI thought leaders in the inaugural of virtual 2 day ‘BFSI Finnovation Conclave’ on Thursday. The conclave was organised by APAC News Network. The Inaugural Keynote Session was attended by Sameer Verma, IAS, Special Secretary (Finance), Uttar Pradesh, Amit Saxena, CTO of Reserve Bank of India Innovation Hub and Bhuwan Joshi, Enterprise Architect Vice President of GSTN.
Delivering his Keynote Address, Sameer Verma said, ‘We have taken many steps for financial inclusion. One such initiative is Banking Sakhi. They are providing banking services at the door step and more than 20000 Banking Sakhis are working at present. 40 types of banking services such as account opening, FDs, etc. are being provided by them in the rural areas. On the technology side, we have a major focus on agri fintech too. In Greater Noida, we are coming up with a Data Center, which is going to be the biggest game changer in leveraging technology & innovation.’
Sharing his thoughts on the future of BSFI innovation & collaboration, Amit Saxena stated that ‘We are open to collaborate with startups and innovators who have come up with unique innovations. Innovation, Inclusion & Impact- these 3 ‘I’s should define the future of innovation in the BFSI sector in India.’
All three Keynote Speakers were presented with the ‘APAC BFSI Leadership Award 2022.’ The award certificates were presented by Souvik Goswami, Co-founder & Group Chief Editor of APAC News Network.
Talking about the enterprise architecture of GSTN, Bhuwan Joshi, in his inaugural speech said, ‘GST is one of the most complex and new gen tech systems in the world. Our architecture is completely micro service based architecture. We are working on not only providing services but also providing open APIs. It helps in integration.’
The two day virtual event was attended by 350+ delegates along with 60+ speakers and thought leaders from the BFSI sector such as Banks, Insurance, NBFCs, Cooperative Banks and Fintech domain.
