JAIPUR: The Rajasthan government has launched the RAJSSP app for conducting annual verification of beneficiaries of social security pension schemes sitting at home. Rajasthan is the first state in the country to provide this facility to social security pensioners.
About 94 lakh pensioners will benefit from this facility. “Through this app, annual verification can be done by the pensioner sitting at home using any Android phone. The pensioner doesn’t need to go anywhere. Annual verification of pensioners will be done using face recognition technology using the app based on Aadhaar data of beneficiaries,” said Social justice and empowerment minister Tikaram Jully.
“In the first phase, pensioners have been provided the facility of annual verification through the mobile app. He/she can also check his/her eligibility and pension ledger through the app. In the second phase, the facility of applying from home will also be made available,” said the minister.
Secretary Samit Sharma said it was required to install Face RD app along with RAJSSP app on any Android mobile phone. The mobile app has been developed in collaboration with NIC, department of Information Technology and Communication and Aadhaar portal.
