Ahmedabad: PM’s chai becomes interesting as it is served by a robot.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Ahmedabad, Gujarat, explored the wonders of Science City, particularly the Robot Gallery. There, he displayed keen interest in the various robots on exhibit, including those developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and microbots. These robots are utilised in diverse sectors such as agriculture, medicine, and space exploration. Notably, PM Modi even experienced the novelty of being served tea and biscuits by one of these robots at the gallery’s cafe.
Taking to X (previously Twitter), PM Modi shared his impressions and acknowledged the transformative impact of robots on multiple industries, and wrote, “Visit the impressive Robot Gallery at Gujarat Science City. The capabilities of the robots on display here are amazing. It’s heartening to see these technologies sparking interest among the youth. We can clearly see the change robots are bringing to everyday life in key sectors like manufacturing and medicine.”
In addition to his visit to the Robot Gallery, Prime Minister Modi also attended the 20th anniversary of the Vibrant Gujarat Investment Summit. During his address at the Vibrant Gujarat Conference, he highlighted his goal of positioning India as a catalyst for global economic growth. He expressed confidence that India is set to become the world’s largest economies in the near future, and become the world’s third largest economy.
“We planted a small seed called Vibrant Gujarat 20 years ago. It has now grown into a big tree. We have undertaken this program to make Gujarat the growth engine of India. We aim to make India the global growth engine after 2014. India is soon going to transform into an economic powerhouse,” PM Modi said.
He also lauded the success of the Vibrant Gujarat initiative, which has evolved from its modest beginnings into a magnet for investments from major corporations. In addition, Modi reminisced about the challenges faced during its early days and invoked the wisdom of Swami Vivekananda, saying, “First one bears insults, then one faces opposition, then one succeeds.”
