UP bureaucratic reshuffle, 9 IAS and 2 PCS officers transferred, Rajesh Kumar Pandey IAS made DM of Jalaun, Markandeya Shahi appointed Acting Labour Commissioner

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh saw a major bureaucratic reshuffle as the state government transferred 9 IAS and two senior PCS officers.

Rajesh Kumar Pandey IAS officer of the 2012-batch, has been appointed as the District Magistrate (DM) of Jalaun. Previously, he has been serving as the Special Secretary, Agriculture Production Commissioner Branch, as well as the Joint Managing Director, Jal Nigam Rural. Outgoing Jalaun DM Chandni Singh, an IAS officer from the 2013 batch, is going on maternity leave.

IAS officer Markandeya Shahi, of the 2009 batch, has been posted as the Acting Labour Commissioner. Before this, he was posted as the Special Secretary Food and Logistics and as the Controller Legal of the Metrology Department. Previously, the Divisional Commissioner of Kanpur held the added responsibility of the Labour Commissioner for Kanpur. Shahi will be promoted to the position of Commissioner and Secretary in January 2025.

IAS officer Anuj Malik of the 2017 batch, and the Additional Commissioner and Divisional Food Controller Gorakhpur, has been appointed Divisional Food Controller, with the added responsibility of Officer on Special Duty in Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority.

Rajesh Kumar Prajapati, an IAS officer of the 2012 batch and the Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Basti, has been posted as the Special Secretary in the Agriculture Production Commissioner Branch. The position of CDO of Basti will be assumed by Joint Magistrate of Varanasi, Jaidev CS, an IAS officer of the 2020 batch.

2020 batch IAS officer Neha Bandhu, who is the Joint Magistrate of Gorakhpur has been appointed the CDO of Mainpuri.

The new CDO of Deoria is Pratyush Pandey, who is an IAS officer of the 2020 batch and the Joint Magistrate of Bareilly.

Chief Secretary’s Staff Officer Divya Prakash Giri, 2010 batch IAS officer, has been appointed Special Secretary of Excise.

2011-batch IAS officer Uday Bhanu Tripathy, who is the Special Secretary of Excise, has been appointed Special Secretary, Housing and Urban Planning.

Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officer, Ravindra Kumar, the CDO of Deoria, will be assuming his responsibility as Staff Officer of the Chief Secretary.

PCS officer Vinod Kumar, the CDO of Mainpuri, has been appointed Special Secretary of the Public Works Department.

Both the above mentioned PCS officers might soon be promoted to IAS cadre.
