Dubai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at the World Government Summit in Dubai, emphasised the critical role of clean and transparent governance in addressing global challenges. He praised UAE President Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed for his visionary leadership.
“Now the world needs a smart government, which makes technology a government medium, which is transparent and not corrupt,” stated Prime Minister Modi. He highlighted the increasing challenges in areas such as food security, health, water, energy, education, and societal inclusivity.
PM Modi proposed a “global protocol” with the aim of sharing resources and capabilities with the nations in need. He said, “We need to create a global protocol to address rising challenges such as artificial intelligence (AI), cryptocurrency, and cybercrime.”
He also reiterated his government’s commitment to women-led development and emphasised the importance of enhancing social and economic conditions.
This visit marks PM Modi’s seventh visit to the United Arab Emirates since 2015. During his two-day visit, he is set to hold extensive discussions with UAE leaders to further bolster bilateral relations.
