IAS Rajeev Kumar Mital appointed Director General, National Mission for Clean Ganga, MoJS; ACC issues several other key appointments

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) recently approved the appointments of several senior IAS officers, and an IA&AS officer, in key positions across various departments. IAS officer Rajeev Kumar Mital has been appointed the Director General of the National Mission for Clean Ganga under the Ministry of Jal Shakti (MoJS). He is a 1998 batch officer from the Maharashtra cadre.

Other key appointments are as follows:

1. IAS officer AP Das Joshi has been posted as the Additional Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), replacing IAS Rahul Singh. Joshi is a 1994 batch officer from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre.
2. 1998-batch IAS officer Gyanesh Bharti, from AGMUT cadre, has been appointed Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Women & Child Development.
3. IA&AS officer Deepak Narain, from the 1993 batch, has been posted as the Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.
4. IAS officer Dr Suman Kumar will be serving as the next Director (Commercial) of National Buildings Construction Corporation Limited (NBCC), a PSU functioning under the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA). Kumar is currently posted as the Executive Director at NBCC.
