New Delhi: IAS officer Nidhi Khare, from the Jharkhand cadre, took charge as the new Secretary in the Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India. She replaced IAS officer Rohit Kumar Singh, who recently retired. Khare previously served as an Additional Secretary in the same department.
The order read, “Khare will take over as Secretary of the Department of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution upon superannuation of Rohit Kumar Singh on March 31.”
Khare has served as the Principal Health Secretary, Principal Secretary in the Department of Commercial Taxes, and District Collector in several districts. Her appointment was announced through a notification issued by the Ministry of Personnel.
