New Delhi: Nvidia’s market valuation crossed $3 trillion on Wednesday, making it the world’s second most valuable company, surpassing Apple. Nvidia’s shares jumped 5.2%, closing at $1,224.40 and valuing the company at $3.012 trillion. This shift is said to be due to the rising demand for Nvidia’s AI processors.
Apple has ruled over Silicon Valley since the launch of the iPhone in 2007. However, since tech giants like Microsoft, Meta Platforms, and Alphabet are heavily investing in AI, Nvidia’s share value has increased by 147% in 2024.
Apple’s stock, on the other hand, saw a 0.8% rise, bringing its market cap to $3.003 trillion. Microsoft remains the most valuable company, with an increase of 1.5% in shares, attaining a $3.14 trillion valuation.
