New Delhi: Union Health Minister JP Nadda has announced to unveil a dashboard designed to assist healthcare facilities nationwide. The dashboard will help the ministry to keep an eye on compliance with established guidelines for healthcare delivery.
According to the Health Ministry statement, the Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) guidelines, which were introduced in 2007 and have been periodically updated, establish quality benchmarks for public health facilities at the primary and secondary levels of health care. The most recent update was in 2022. These standards guarantee that healthcare services are consistent, accessible, and accountable across the country. It was stated that all public health institutions are encouraged to conduct assessments and work towards addressing the deficiencies that have been identified.
Nadda will also introduce two more initiatives including: a new feature for the quick issuing of licences and registrations through the Food Safety and Compliance System (FoSCoS). They also plan to announce a virtual NQAS assessment for Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAM) sub-centers.
