Assam transfers 3 IAS officers; appoints IAS Dr M S Laxmi Priya as Secretary, Health & Family Welfare

Dispur: In a recent reshuffle, the Assam government has announced the transfer of three IAS officers. Amongst the major names is IAS Dr M S Laxmi Priya, the incumbent MD in the National Health Mission. Dr Priya has been transferred and given additional charge as Secretary in the Health & Family Welfare Department. Dr Priya is a 2014 batch IAS officer from the Northeast cadre.

Additionally, IAS Ajay Tiwari (1993 batch) has been given additional charge and appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Mines & Minerals Department. He is currently posted as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) in the Home & Political Department.

IAS Dr Lakshmanan S (2011 batch), who is currently posted as a Secretary in the Department of Industries Commerce & Public Enterprises, Mines & Minerals Departments. He is also the CM’s Secretariat with Additional Charge of MD of the Guwahati Smart City Limited. He was relieved of the charge of Secretary in the Mines & Minerals Department and given additional charge as MD of the National Health Mission.
