New Delhi: National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval has announced two new appointments in the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) team. TV Ravichandran and Pawan Kapoor have been announced to be the new deputy NSAs.
1990 batch IPS officer TV Ravichandran is presently serving as the special director of the Intelligence Bureau. Pawan Kapoor is a 1990 batch IFS officer. He was appointed to several missions abroad for India. Kapoor has also served in the Ministry of External Affairs, and the Prime Minister’s Office. He also served as an international civil servant with the Commonwealth Secretariat in London.
Recently, deputy NSA Vikram Misri was appointed as the Foreign Secretary. Ravichandran replaces IPS Rajinder Khanna (1978 batch) who has been appointed as the Additional NSA. Reportedly, Kapoor will replace IFS Vikram Misri (1989 batch) whose tenure as Deputy NSA was cut short by his appointment as Foreign Secretary of India.
