New Delhi: Coursera has launched ten professional certificates from Google and IBM that align with India’s National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF). This move follows Coursera’s collaboration with the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) to integrate job-relevant courses into the National Education Policy (NEP) curriculum.
This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry needs, enhancing the credibility of online education. Key benefits include seamless transitions between academic and skill-based learning, access to industry-relevant courses, support for India’s mission to become the skill capital of the world, and the ability for students to count course credits towards their degrees.
This strategic launch by Coursera, backed by NASSCOM, underscores the growing importance of skill-based learning in India’s educational and professional landscape.
