Bengaluru: Google India has announced the appointment of Rajesh Ranjan as the new Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy at Google India. With his extensive industry experience, Ranjan will spearhead the company’s endeavors to engage with policymakers, industry leaders, and communities, with the objective of fostering innovation and change in the technology sector.
Ranjan, a seasoned professional in the fields of Government Affairs and Public Policy, has held significant positions in a variety of organizations. He previously held the position of Director of Corporate Affairs and Public Policy at Microsoft for more than three years. He held positions such as Associate Director and Manager at KPMG for over eight years before joining Microsoft.
During this time, he was responsible for overseeing significant government initiatives in India. He collaborated with the Ministry of Electronics and IT, the Ministry of Statistics, and the Agriculture Ministry’s India initiative, with an emphasis on strategic planning, policy development, and digital transformation.
Google India is poised to strengthen its relationships with major stakeholders and further its objective of establishing a more interconnected and accessible world, with Ranjan at the helm.
