Tamil Nadu: Ola Electric has announced the launch of its all-new Roadster series of motorcycles at the ‘Sankalp 2024’ event. The series comprises three electric motorcycles, the Roadster, Roadster X, and Roadster Pro. With the launch of these e-motorcycles, the company aims to accelerate EV adoption in India’s motorcycle market.
Speaking at the event, Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal highlighted the features of the bikes claiming that Roadster X will stand out as the fastest electric motorcycle in the segment with a motor output of 11 kW. It will offer a maximum speed of 124 kmph and a Combi Braking System with disk brakes. The riders can switch between four riding modes- Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco. The Roadster Pro will also have advanced riding modes such as the Race Mode, Anti-Wheely, and Stoppie.
The three bikes will hit the market in January next year. The company also introduced two more upcoming motorcycle models, the Sportster and Arrowhead which it plans to launch later. In addition, the company said that it will integrate its battery cells into its vehicles starting from FY26.
