Bhubaneshwar: Odisha-based aluminium production firm Vedanta Aluminium has announced the appointment of Ravi Paliwal as the CEO of Ash Management. He will be responsible for the supervision of ash management operations, with a particular emphasis on the utilization of technology and processes to improve resource efficiency.
In his new role, Ravi will investigate new opportunities for utilizing the substantial by-product of thermal power generation, thereby fostering circular economy opportunities. Apart from Vedanta Aluminium, Ravi will be accountable for the ash management operations of Hindustan Zinc Limited and Vedanta’s power business, which encompasses Talwandi Sabo Power Plant, Meenakshi Energy, and Athena. Ravi, a seasoned industry professional with over 27 years of diversified experience, will contribute a wealth of expertise to Vedanta Aluminium’s operations.
Ravi was the Senior Vice President of Contract, Commercials, and Materials at Bajaj Energy prior to his employment with Vedanta. He previously held prominent managerial positions at Nabha Power (Larsen & Toubro) and JSW Energy. He is proficient in the development of vendors, supply chain management, service contracts, and procurement functions.
