Bengaluru: A recent Fortinet report highlights that 64% of organizations in India feel their employees lack basic cybersecurity skills, a growing concern as cyberattacks become more sophisticated with the use of AI. The findings stress the need for better security awareness training to help employees identify and avoid threats like phishing and malware.
The report also reveals that most organizations (96%) back employee training programs, with phishing prevention being a top focus for 98% of them. Additionally, 86% of companies saw improvements in their security after rolling out awareness programs.
However, experts point out that training programs need to be engaging and not too time-consuming. Keeping content relevant and efficient is key to ensuring employees stay focused and retain important security information.
