New Delhi: India’s cybersecurity agency CERT-In has partnered with Fortinet to boost cybersecurity education across schools and universities. This collaboration, part of National Cyber Security Awareness Month, focuses on equipping students, teachers, and professionals with essential skills to tackle cyber threats.
The program offers industry-aligned training through Fortinet’s Academic Partner Program. It includes courses on basic cybersecurity principles, threat detection, and incident response. A key part of the initiative is training teachers first, so they can effectively teach students about online safety and digital security.
Dr. Sanjay Bahl, Director General of CERT-In, emphasized the need to build a skilled cybersecurity workforce for a safer digital future. Fortinet’s India Country Manager, Vivek Srivastava, highlighted the importance of cybersecurity awareness for everyone in today’s digital world.
The partnership also offers free cybersecurity training for primary and secondary schools, along with joint certifications from CERT-In and Fortinet, aimed at enhancing job prospects for participants. Through this effort, both organizations aim to raise awareness and provide practical skills to protect against cyber threats.
