Bengaluru: Muralikrishnan B, president of Xiaomi India, will step down from his role at the end of 2024. After over six years with the company, he plans to focus on academic research, pursuing an executive doctorate in management that will explore consumer behavior on technology platforms. Although he is leaving his executive position, Murali will continue to work with Xiaomi India as an independent strategic advisor.
Joining the company in 2018, Murali became president in 2022 after serving as the chief operating officer. His leadership has played a key role in growing Xiaomi’s presence in India and managing important public affairs. Recently, the company marked its ten-year anniversary in the country.
While Xiaomi has not yet named Murali’s successor, the company is confident in its leadership team. Sudhin Mathur will remain as chief operating officer, along with key leaders in finance, product development, and marketing, ensuring the company stays on track for future growth.
