New Delhi: NetApp is expanding its partnership with Red Hat to help businesses better manage their virtual environments. The focus is on integrating NetApp’s data infrastructure with Red Hat OpenShift, aiming to simplify enterprise application development across on-premises and hybrid multi cloud setups.
The collaboration introduces updates like a new version of Trident, NetApp’s container storage tool. This upgrade will make it easier for Red Hat OpenShift users to handle data backup, disaster recovery, and migration, all without changing their existing workflows. Additionally, new designs for Cisco FlexPod support Red Hat’s virtualisation and AI deployments, offering a more streamlined infrastructure solution.
NetApp is also rolling out integration with Google Cloud, allowing Red Hat users to use NetApp Volumes for consistent storage when running their applications on the cloud. This move aims to provide better options for managing Kubernetes-based workloads with more reliability.
Overall, this partnership aims to give businesses more tools and options to handle their virtualized applications effectively, reducing complexity and improving data management.
