New Delhi: The government of the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi has announced a significant bureaucratic reshuffle under which it has assigned new responsibilities to 5 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officers of the AGMUT cadre. With the Delhi Assembly elections scheduled for February 2025, these new appointments aim to enhance governance and efficiency in key sectors.
Among the five officers, IAS Bipul Pathak (1992 batch) has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) for Industries. Besides this, he will take on the additional responsibility of Chairman for the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) and Managing Director of the Delhi Khadi and Village Industries Board (DKVIB).
Other new appointments include:
IAS Sanjiv Kumar (1992 batch) has been posted as ACS-cum-Commissioner for Food and Civil Supply. Additionally, he will hold the charge of Chairman for the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) and the Chief Managing Director (CMD) for the Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation (DSCSC).
IAS A Anbarasu (1996 batch), serving as Principal Secretary for Home and Public Works Department (PWD), has now been assigned the additional charge of Principal Secretary for Information and Publicity.
IAS Nandini Paliwal (2003 batch) has been made Secretary for Higher Education & Training and Technical Education. She will also take on the additional role of Managing Director of the Delhi Co-operative Housing Finance Corporation (DCHFC).
IAS Kumar Abhishek (2016 batch), presently the Director for Higher Education and Director for Training & Technical Education (TTE), will also serve in the additional charge of General Manager for the Delhi Consumer’s Co-operative Wholesale Store (DCCWS) and GM for the Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation (DSCSC).
