New Delhi: Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited has appointed Yogesh Kulkarni as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). With over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity and information security, Kulkarni will focus on strengthening the company’s digital security framework and managing cyber risks.
In his new role, Kulkarni will lead security operations for both Crompton Greaves and its subsidiary Butterfly Appliances. His responsibilities include overseeing cybersecurity strategies, governance, risk management, compliance, and IoT/OT security initiatives. His appointment comes as the company looks to address rising cybersecurity threats and enhance its digital infrastructure to safeguard critical operations.
Before joining Crompton Greaves, Kulkarni held leadership roles in multiple organizations. At Pidilite Industries Limited, he managed network security, compliance, and threat management operations. During his tenure at Lupin, he headed global security operations and greenfield infrastructure projects. Kulkarni also contributed to IT security and network management at WNS Global Services and worked on security infrastructure at Reliance Communications.
A certified CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) and CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager), Kulkarni brings a blend of technical knowledge and strategic insight. His past roles reflect a strong focus on building security frameworks aligned with evolving cyber threats, making him a key addition to Crompton Greaves’ leadership team.
