Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel flagged off a water ambulance from Gandhinagar for the upcoming Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj. The water ambulance, presented by the Sudhanshu Mehta Foundation, will be used to enhance medical facilities for the devotees attending the Mela. The initiative aims to improve medical emergency response during the massive religious congregation scheduled from January 13 to February 26, 2025.
Taking to his X handle, Patel wrote, “The Kumbh Mela, an integral part of Sanatan Dharma, is about to begin in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The free water ambulance, which will be used for Mahakumbh 2025, was flagged off today by the Sudhanshu Mehta Foundation in the presence of the Honorable Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Shri CR Paatil and the State General Secretary (BJP) Shri Ratnakar.”
The Maha Kumbh Mela, held every 12 years, is a significant pilgrimage attracting millions of devotees worldwide to Prayagraj. The 45-day festival is a profound occasion for spiritual renewal and cultural exchange, showcasing India’s rich heritage and traditions. The deployment of the water ambulance from Gujarat signifies a collaborative effort to ensure the safety and health of pilgrims during the Mahakumbh.
