Lucknow: As part of a significant bureaucratic reshuffle ahead of the upcoming by-elections, the government of Uttar Pradesh has mandated the transfers and fresh postings of several officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS).
Among the key transfers, IAS Bal Krishna Tripathi (2008 batch) has been appointed the new Divisional Commissioner of Vindhyachal. IAS Dr. Muthukumarasamy B (2007 batch), the current Vindhyachal Division Commissioner, has been reappointed as the Secretary of the Finance Department.
Other notable IAS transfers include:
IAS Maneesh Chauhan (2000 batch), currently the Azamgarh Commissioner, has been appointed as the new Principal Secretary of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department, succeeding Alok Kumar (II), who has been relieved of his duties. IAS Vivek (2009 batch) has been made the new Divisional Commissioner of Azamgarh.
IAS Amit Gupta (2000 batch), presently the Commissioner of Kanpur Division, has now been given charge as the Principal Secretary of the Stamp and Registration Department.
IAS K Vijayendra Pandian (2008 batch) has been given additional responsibility as the Kanpur Division Commissioner.
IAS Dr. Rupesh Kumar (2010 batch) has been relieved of his duties as Inspector General of Registration. He will continue to serve as the Managing Director (MD) of Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Generation Corporation and MD of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited.
IAS Ajit Kumar has been moved to the position of Divisional Commissioner of Chitrakoot Dham.
IAS Narendra Prasad Pandey has been appointed Secretary of the Planning Department in addition to his role as Director General of Finance and Statistics.

IPS Nachiketa Jha (2003 batch), currently posted in IG Headquarters, has been shifted to IG Establishment, and 2006 batch IPS officer Shalabh Mathur, IG Establishment, will now oversee IG Personnel.
IPS officer Dharamvir Singh (2010 batch) has been made the new DIG of the 6th Battalion PAC Meerut.
IPS Ajay Kumar (2011 batch) will take on the role of Additional Police Commissioner at the Noida Commissionerate.
IPS Arvind Chaturvedi (2011 batch) has been assigned as DIG of Vigilance and Establishment in Lucknow.
IPS Sankalp Sharma (2012 batch), currently Deputy Commissioner of Police at Lucknow Police Commissionerate, has been appointed as the new SP of Lakhimpur Kheri. IPS Ganesh Saha (2013 batch), earlier posted in Lakhimpur, has now been made the SP of Mainpuri.
IPS Somen Verma (2012 batch), former Superintendent of Police (SP) of Sultanpur, has now been appointed as the SP of Mirzapur.
IPS Kunwar Anupam Singh (2013 batch), previously SP of Amroha, will now serve as the SP of Sultanpur.
IPS Abhinandan (2014 batch), former SP of Mirzapur, has been given the responsibility of Basti.
IPS Vinod Kumar (2014 batch), previously the SP of Mainpuri, will now take charge as the new SP of Kannauj.
IPS Dr. Meenakshi Katyayan (2014 batch), the SP of Bhadohi, has been appointed as the SP Intelligence in Kanpur.
IPS Basant Lal (2015 batch), last posted in Kanpur, has been transferred to the ACO Headquarters.
IPS Gopal Krishna Chaudhary (2016 batch), currently the SP of Basti, has been posted to the Lucknow Commissionerate.
IPS Amit Kumar Anand (2016 batch), formerly SP of Kannauj, has been transferred and posted to Amroha.
IPS Abhimanyu Manglik (2018 batch), presently the ASP of Saharanpur City, has been promoted to the role of SP in Bhadohi.
IPS Vyom Bindal (2021 batch), the ASP of Muzaffarnagar, has been appointed as the in-charge SP City of Saharanpur.
