Lucknow: Under a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the government of Uttar Pradesh has announced the transfers of 46 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) Officers. The reshuffle which includes various high-ranking officials across key departments, has been implemented to enhance governance and streamline administrative functions.
One of the notable transfers includes the reappointment of IAS Sanjay Prasad (1995 batch) to the position of Principal Secretary (PS), Home. In this role, he will take charge of several important departments including Home, Confidentiality, Visa, Passport, and Vigilance.
Other key transfers include:
IAS Vaibhav Srivastava has been made Secretary, Home. He has been appointed as the Secretary of the Home Department, transitioning from his role as Special Secretary in the same department.
IAS Deepak Kumar (1990 batch) has been relieved from the charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Visa, Passport, Vigilance Department and given additional charge as Principal Secretary, Basic Education Department.
IAS L Venkateswarlu (1991 batch) has been assigned additional responsibilities as Principal Secretary, Social Welfare, Sainik Welfare, Tribal Development, UP CIDCO, Director of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Research and Training Institute, and Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Research and Training Institute, along with his current role.
IAS Rajesh Kumar Singh I has been posted as Principal Secretary, Home Guard.
IAS BL Meena has been relieved of the charge of Principal Secretary, Home Guard, and will continue as Principal Secretary, Horticulture, Silk, Food Processing, and Home Guard Department.
IAS Alok Kumar II has been moved from the charge of Principal Secretary, Handloom and Textile Industry, Khadi and Village Industries, and given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department.
IAS Narendra Bhooshan (1992 batch) has been made Principal Secretary of the Panchayati Raj Department while continuing his responsibilities in the Intellectual Education Department.
IAS Anil Garg (1996 batch), currently Principal Secretary of the Irrigation Department, has been relieved from the post of State Nodal Officer for the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana. However, he will retain the posts of Irrigation and Water Resources, Land Development, Prison Administration and Reforms Services, Uttar Pradesh Government Chairman, Pack State Nodal Officer for the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana, and Managing Director of the Uttar Pradesh Land Reforms Corporation.
- IAS Dr Hari Om (1997 batch) has been appointed Principal Secretary of the Vocational Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship Department. Before this, he was serving as the Principal Secretary of the Social Welfare Department and Department of Sainik Welfare.
IAS Anil Kumar Sagar (1998 batch), presently Principal Secretary of the Industrial Development Department, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Handloom and Textiles, Khadi, and Village Industries Department.
IAS Anuj Kumar Jha (2009 batch) has been assigned the responsibility of Secretary in addition to serving as the Director of the Local Bodies Department.
IAS Bhupendra S. Chaudhary has been made Secretary of the Public Works Department (PWD).
IAS Mala Srivastava has taken charge as the Secretary along with serving as the Director of the Geology and Mining Department.
IAS Ajit Kumar has been appointed as the Secretary in the Agriculture Department, after serving as Special Secretary in the Agriculture Production Commissioner Branch.
IAS Atal Kumar Rai, presently the Director of the Panchayati Raj Department, has also been assigned the responsibility of Secretary in the same department.
