Gujarat: The Adani Group has partnered with Singapore’s ITE Education Services (ITEES) to launch a large-scale technical training initiative in Mundra, Gujarat. The initiative aims to develop a skilled workforce for industries such as green energy, manufacturing, and hi-tech sectors.
Skill Development Initiative in Mundra
As part of the initiative, the Adani family will contribute over ₹2,000 crore to establish globally benchmarked training institutions under the Adani Global Skills Academy. The first phase will focus on setting up a finishing school designed to train over 25,000 students annually.
The academy will target graduates from ITIs and polytechnic institutions, offering an intensive boot camp-style program. Upon completion, students will receive certifications and employment opportunities within the Adani Group or other industries based on their skills and training.
AI-Based Learning and Industry Integration
The skills academy will incorporate AI-based simulators and mixed-reality learning tools to provide hands-on training. The facility will be fully residential for both students and faculty. ITEES will act as the knowledge partner, ensuring that the training aligns with global industry standards.
Robin Bhowmik, CEO of Adani Skills & Education, emphasized that the initiative aligns with the government’s ‘Make in India’ policy by creating a pipeline of skilled professionals. ITEES CEO Suresh Natarajan stated that the collaboration aims to enhance skill development and improve employment prospects for technically trained individuals.
The initiative is expected to play a role in addressing India’s demand for skilled workers, particularly in emerging industries.
