New Delhi: The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has announced a collaboration with Digital India Bhashini, the AI-powered language translation platform, to launch a multimodal, multilingual e-governance solution for the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS).
This move aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s directive to improve grievance redressal systems, making them more accessible, responsive, and user-friendly.
According to the government, this solution is expected to go live by July 2025. Once implemented, the CPGRAMS platform will be a more inclusive and effective grievance redressal mechanism for millions of citizens across India.
Grievance Filing Available in 22 Regional Languages
The new system will allow citizens to file grievances in 22 regional languages using an intuitive interface. Individuals will also be able to submit complaints via voice input in their native language.
This feature aims to eliminate language barriers and make the grievance lodging process seamless for all citizens.
Enhanced Accessibility and User Experience
The integration of Bhashini with CPGRAMS is expected to significantly enhance ease of access and navigation on the grievance redressal portal. This AI-powered system is anticipated to ensure that more people, especially those in rural and semi-urban areas, can efficiently communicate their concerns without language constraints.
The government believes this collaboration will serve as a foundation for future advancements in citizen-centric governance.
